About the Role
As an Apprentice Container/Chassis Mechanic at ConGlobal, you'll work in a fast-paced shipping and supply chain environment where your technical skills directly support operations. You'll earn while you learn, gaining industry-recognized experience in container and chassis mechanical systems under the guidance of experienced technicians. This immediate-hire position operates Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, providing a stable, predictable schedule as you develop your expertise.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventative and routine maintenance on containers and chassis units
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues including hydraulics, brakes, and structural components
- Assist with trailer shop repairs and inspections under direct supervision
- Learn and apply proper diagnostics techniques and repair procedures
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Document maintenance and repair work accurately
