Container/Chassis Mechanic – Apprentice – Trailer/Shop Repairs

ConGlobal is seeking a Container/Chassis Mechanic - Apprentice - Trailer/Shop Repairs to join our team in Scenic Woods, Houston. This full‑time position offers hands‑on training in trailer and chassis repair within our global supply chain operations.

About the Role

As an apprentice mechanic, you will work alongside experienced technicians to maintain and repair container chassis and trailers that support international shipping activities. The role emphasizes safety, precision, and continual skill development in a fast‑paced shop environment.

What You'll Do

• Assist senior mechanics with inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on chassis and trailer components
• Perform routine servicing such as tire changes, brake adjustments, and lubrication of moving parts
• Learn to diagnose and address hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical system issues under supervision
• Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment according to standard operating procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to all safety protocols
• Document work performed and parts used in maintenance logs
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to build technical expertise

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn trailer and chassis systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record (preferred for moving equipment)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative team mindset
• Availability to work the scheduled shift of 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
