Join BJC HealthCare as a Clinical Nurse in our Minimally Invasive Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in Manchester, Saint Louis County. As part of our bariatric center of excellence at the Schoenberg Pavilion, you'll provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing advanced surgical procedures including minimally invasive techniques, plastic reconstruction, endocrine oncology, and ophthalmology.
About the Role
This full-time nursing position in our General Surgery floor and intermediate care unit offers the opportunity to deliver high-level patient monitoring and clinical support. Working on the north campus location, you'll care for patients during their recovery from complex surgical procedures in a setting recognized for surgical innovation and bariatric specialty care.
What You'll Do
- Deliver comprehensive patient assessment and direct care in a progressive care environment
- Monitor patients recovering from minimally invasive and complex surgical procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical and clinical teams
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Educate patients and families on post-operative expectations and recovery management
- Uphold safety protocols and evidence-based clinical practices
What We're Looking For
- Current RN license in good standing
- Experience in acute or progressive care nursing settings
- Strong clinical assessment and interpersonal communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic surgical care environment
- Dedication to patient safety and compassionate care delivery
