About the Role

As an Armed Security Officer with Northwell Health, you'll play a critical role in safeguarding our North Bay Shore medical facility and its grounds. Your vigilance and professionalism will be essential to preventing unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security threats while supporting the vital work of our healthcare team.

What You'll Do

• Conduct regular patrols of buildings and grounds to monitor for security threats and maintain a safe environment
• Implement and enforce access control procedures to regulate who enters restricted areas
• Secure entry points by locking doors and windows; arm and disarm security systems and alarms as needed
• Manage pedestrian and vehicular traffic flow in a respectful, professional, and safe manner
• Identify and respond to potential safety hazards, including fire risks
• Document incidents, observations, and activities in security logs and reports
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary
• Uphold Northwell Health policies and healthcare facility protocols at all times
