Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Good Samaritan is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its Long Term Care team in Michigan, US, delivering compassionate, faith‑based nursing care to residents in need.

About the Role

In this full‑time position, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing holistic care that emphasizes dignity, safety, and overall wellbeing for underserved residents. The role is based at Good Samaritan’s Michigan facility, supporting the organization’s mission to serve those who need it most.

What You'll Do

• Perform resident assessments and monitor vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Provide wound care, dressing changes, and skin integrity monitoring
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including mobility and personal hygiene
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians, and support staff to coordinate care plans
• Respond promptly to changes in resident condition and communicate updates to the care team
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, facility policies, and infection control standards
• Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Current and active Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of Michigan
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous experience in long‑term care, skilled nursing, or a comparable setting
• Strong clinical skills in medication administration, wound care, and patient assessment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with residents, families, and team members
• Commitment to a faith‑based, mission‑driven approach to care
• Basic proficiency with electronic medical record systems and standard office software
• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents safely
• Reliable, compassionate, and detail‑oriented work ethic
