Position Summary

As a Material Handler – Yard at Snavely Forest Products Inc, you'll manage the movement, storage, and tracking of materials throughout our West Homestead facility. You'll coordinate the flow of materials into and out of our warehouse and yard, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency in every transaction. This role is essential to supporting our customers and maintaining smooth operations across our forest products supply chain.

What You'll Do

• Pick, pack, and organize materials for shipment or internal use
• Load and unload transport vehicles, equipment, and shipping containers
• Handle both non-hazardous and hazardous materials according to safety protocols
• Record and maintain accurate inventory records and material statuses
• Verify that deliveries match purchase orders and shipment documentation
• Organize materials in the yard and warehouse for efficient retrieval
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials safely and consistently
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills for documentation
• Physical stamina for an active warehouse and yard setting
• Willingness to follow safety protocols and company procedures
• Experience with material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts) is a plus
• Reliability and consistent attendance
