LPN Long Term Care (LTC), Local Traveler

Join Good Samaritan, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to compassionate senior care, as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a Local Traveler position at our Miller, South Dakota facility. This is a part-time, PRN role with flexible scheduling, paying $24.00–$36.00 per hour.

About the Role

As an LPN in our Long Term Care facility, you'll deliver direct patient care to seniors in a supportive, values-driven environment. This local traveler position allows you to work PRN while building meaningful relationships with our residents and care team.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct nursing care to long-term care residents, including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and wound care
• Document patient assessments and progress notes accurately in our electronic health record system
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns to the charge nurse and healthcare providers
• Support activities of daily living assistance and maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents
• Adhere to all state nursing regulations, facility policies, and infection control protocols

What We're Looking For

• Current and valid LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in South Dakota or multi-state license
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in long-term care or senior healthcare settings
• Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, medication administration, and basic wound care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with diverse teams and residents
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with nursing and support staff
• Flexibility and reliability for varying shift schedules in a PRN capacity
