Occupational Therapist Acute Care

UCHealth is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Care Rehabilitation team in Southglenn, Centennial. In this full-time position, you'll evaluate and treat patients recovering from acute illness or injury, helping them rebuild functional independence and prepare for discharge to home or next-level care.

About the Role

You'll deliver skilled occupational therapy services to hospitalized patients across diverse diagnoses in a dynamic acute care setting. Your assessments, treatment planning, and direct patient therapy will be central to our patients' recovery and successful transitions out of the hospital.

What You'll Do

• Conduct thorough occupational therapy evaluations to assess functional status, cognitive ability, and self-care performance
• Develop and execute personalized treatment plans targeting restoration of activities of daily living and functional independence
• Provide direct skilled therapy and patient education to support recovery and safe mobility
• Partner with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Document clinical findings and communicate progress with the healthcare team to guide discharge planning
• Recommend adaptive equipment and strategies to enable patient safety and independence at home

What We're Looking For

• Valid Colorado occupational therapy license
• NBCOT certification or eligibility
• Prior experience in acute care or hospital environments preferred
• Proficiency in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and patient documentation
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
• Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care

Position Details

Full-time position, 80 hours per pay period. Onsite role in Southglenn, Centennial. Compensation ranges from $38.72 to $58.08 per hour, based on your relevant experience.
