About the Role
The Senior Research Nurse is a key member of the Clinical Trials Office at Nicklaus Children's Hospital Research Institute, reporting directly to the CTO Manager. You'll serve as a bridge between the research leadership, clinical study teams, and hospital departments—ensuring smooth execution of clinical trials and maintaining the highest standards of research integrity and participant safety.
What You'll Do
- Lead and coordinate activities across clinical research projects, collaborating with principal investigators, sub-investigators, clinical research coordinators, and lead clinical research associates
- Oversee protocol compliance, regulatory documentation, and participant enrollment processes
- Mentor and support clinical research coordinators and study team members
- Communicate between the Clinical Trials Office, principal investigators, study teams, and Nicklaus Children's departments to resolve operational challenges
- Ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards and institutional policies
- Monitor ongoing studies for safety, efficacy data quality, and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to the development and refinement of research protocols and study procedures
What We're Looking For
- Registered Nurse (RN) with significant clinical research experience, ideally in pediatric or hospital-based research settings
- Advanced knowledge of clinical trial operations, GCP guidelines, and regulatory frameworks
- Leadership experience mentoring clinical research staff
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple studies and stakeholders
- Commitment to patient safety and research integrity
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred
