About the Role

Project ADAM (Automated Defibrillators in Adam's Memory) is a nonprofit initiative housed within the Nicklaus Children's Heart Institute, committed to equipping schools with the knowledge, tools, and infrastructure needed to respond effectively to sudden cardiac arrest. As the Project ADAM Program Coordinator based in Miami, you will serve as a vital connector between healthcare professionals, educational institutions, and community stakeholders — helping schools build and sustain coordinated CPR and AED readiness programs that save lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Project ADAM Director to execute and expand program goals across Miami-Dade and Broward County
  • Partner with school nurses and administrators to assess AED placement, maintenance, and emergency action plan compliance
  • Engage community partners and key program stakeholders to broaden participation and strengthen program outcomes
  • Provide education, training guidance, and ongoing support to school staff around CPR and AED best practices
  • Track program metrics and assist with reporting to ensure continuous improvement and accountability

Qualifications

  • Background in healthcare, public health, education, or a related field preferred
  • Familiarity with CPR/AED protocols or cardiac emergency preparedness programs is a strong asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable operating in a community outreach capacity
  • Ability to travel throughout the Miami/Broward region as required by the role
