EY is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Insurance and Actuarial Advisory Services team in Boston, Suffolk County, specializing in advanced financial modeling and actuarial solutions. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead complex client engagements and drive strategic advisory services across the financial services industry.

About the Role

As a Senior Consultant in our Insurance and Actuarial Advisory Services practice, you'll take ownership of high-value client projects that require sophisticated modeling expertise and deep insurance industry knowledge. You'll work at the intersection of actuarial science and business strategy, translating complex data and financial dynamics into actionable client recommendations that shape enterprise decisions.

What You'll Do

  • Design and build advanced actuarial and financial models to support client valuations, forecasting, and strategic planning
  • Conduct comprehensive risk analysis and stress-testing for insurance carriers and institutional investors
  • Lead client engagements from scoping through delivery, managing timelines, quality, and stakeholder relationships
  • Develop presentations and reports that communicate complex modeling results to C-suite and board-level audiences
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including actuaries, data scientists, and technology specialists
  • Stay current with regulatory changes and emerging modeling methodologies in the insurance sector

What We're Looking For

  • Advanced degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or related field; FSA, ASA, or equivalent actuarial credential preferred
  • 5+ years of professional experience in actuarial modeling, insurance advisory, or related financial services consulting
  • Expert proficiency with modeling platforms and financial software; strong VBA, Python, or SQL capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead client-facing consulting projects and present findings to senior decision-makers
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to model validation and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
