STI is hiring a full-time Communication Specialist for our Nashville, Tennessee office. You'll develop and manage strategic communications across multiple channels, making complex health information accessible and engaging for the diverse communities we serve.

About the Role

This Communication Specialist position in Nashville, Davidson County focuses on creating compelling content that bridges technical expertise with public understanding. You'll work alongside our design team to produce materials that inform, educate, and connect audiences to our mission and services.

What You'll Do

• Build and oversee content strategy across digital and print channels—including websites, email newsletters, social media, branded materials, and organizational reports
• Translate specialized health concepts and research findings into clear, audience-appropriate language for varied reader levels and demographics
• Work closely with subject matter experts and internal teams to ensure all communications are accurate, consistent, and aligned with organizational objectives
• Plan, create, and distribute content that engages target audiences and supports measurable communication goals
• Review and refine all written materials for clarity, tone, brand consistency, and grammatical precision
• Assess communication performance, gather stakeholder feedback, and refine strategies based on real-world results

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in communications, content strategy, marketing, journalism, or closely related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; skill in writing for different formats and audiences
• Familiarity with content platforms, social media tools, or digital publishing systems
