Build the skills for this role
Prioritize: small-animal clinical judgment; palliative and pain management; client communication in grief; mobile practice logistics; and clear documentation of end-of-life plans and aftercare options. No certification list was provided for this posting.
Be ready to discuss difficult quality-of-life conversations, how you support grieving clients, mobile-visit workflow and safety, and why in-home hospice fits your veterinary practice style.
Strong fit if you want mobile, compassion-heavy vet work in the Poughkeepsie area and are comfortable with hospice and in-home euthanasia; less ideal if you prefer clinic-based surgery or high-caseload general practice only.
