Data Architect – Power & Utilities – Senior Manager – Consulting – Location OPEN

EY seeks a Senior Manager Data Architect to lead enterprise data strategy and architecture for Power & Utilities clients. In this full-time consulting role based in Utah County, you'll architect complex data solutions driving modernization and operational excellence across the energy sector.

About the Role

You'll design and deliver enterprise data platforms that address critical challenges in utilities and energy organizations—from grid modernization to regulatory compliance to operational efficiency. Combining technical depth with consulting acumen, you'll guide executive leaders through data transformation strategy, architecture, and implementation.

What You'll Do

• Architect enterprise data platforms and infrastructure solutions tailored to utilities sector requirements
• Lead consulting engagements spanning discovery, design, and deployment of data solutions for energy clients
• Build and mentor teams of architects and consultants on data technologies, governance, and best practices
• Partner with energy domain specialists to translate business strategy into executable data roadmaps
• Guide cloud migrations, modern data stack adoption, and analytics platform implementations
• Establish data governance, master data management, and quality assurance frameworks for enterprise clients
• Serve as trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders on data strategy and technology investment

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of data architecture, data engineering, or platform architecture experience
• 5+ years in a leadership or senior management capacity
• Deep expertise in power, utilities, or energy sector operations, technology, and business challenges
• Demonstrated success architecting solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Strong knowledge of data governance, master data management, and business intelligence ecosystems
• Proven track record in consulting environments managing complex stakeholder relationships
• Excellent communication skills for presenting to executive and technical audiences
