BISD Police Officer

Beeville Independent School District is hiring a full-time Police Officer to serve and protect our school community. This law enforcement position is based in Beeville, Texas, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure learning environment for all students, staff, and visitors across our district facilities.

About the Role

As a Police Officer with Beeville ISD, you'll provide comprehensive law enforcement and security services for our district properties. This is a hands-on, community-focused position where you'll build relationships with students and staff while enforcing state and local laws, managing incident response, and preventing loss through vigilant campus patrols and investigative work.

What You'll Do

• Conduct regular patrols of district campuses and facilities to ensure the safety and security of students, employees, and visitors
• Respond to emergency calls and incidents on school property with professionalism and sound judgment
• Enforce federal, state, and local laws including municipal and county ordinances within district jurisdiction
• Investigate criminal matters, disturbances, and safety concerns on campus
• Prevent and deter theft, vandalism, and other property crimes through visible presence and proactive monitoring
• Write detailed reports and maintain accurate records of incidents and investigations
• Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and local law enforcement partners
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation in student and staff situations

What We're Looking For

• Valid peace officer certification or ability to obtain certification in Texas
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or degree preferred
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Demonstrated commitment to student safety and school-based law enforcement
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Physical fitness and ability to perform patrol duties throughout the day
• Background check and reference requirements apply
