What You'll Do

• Provide temporary, high-quality personal care and support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Assist with daily living activities, including meals, grooming, medication reminders, and household responsibilities
• Create safe, structured, and engaging environments tailored to each individual's needs and preferences
• Support individuals in community activities, outings, and recreational programs when applicable
• Maintain clear, timely communication with family members, supervisors, and the care team
• Document support activities and report any health, safety, or behavioral concerns
• Adapt flexibly to changing schedules and respond with patience to individual communication styles and behaviors
• Follow all health, safety, and agency protocols to ensure person-centered, trauma-informed care

About the Role

This full-time position encompasses multiple respite provider roles: live-in respite, in-home respite, and community respite. The specific arrangement depends on the individual's needs and placement.

• Reliable, professional demeanor and strong communication skills
• Physical ability to assist with mobility, transfers, and personal care as needed
• Ability to work independently and follow directives from supervisors and family members
• Flexibility to adapt to diverse needs, schedules, and living situations
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant experience a plus
• Clean background check and willingness to complete required certifications
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it
