About the Role

Through CRST's lease purchase program, you operate as an independent contractor hauling dry van freight on over-the-road (OTR) runs across the contiguous United States. This position gives you genuine control over your professional life — you select your loads, set your home time, and build a schedule that works for you, all while running under one of the most recognized names in US trucking.

What You'll Do

• Transport dry van freight safely and on time across OTR lanes throughout the country
• Select loads that align with your preferred lanes, schedule, and home-time goals
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with FMCSA regulations
• Maintain accurate logs using an electronic logging device (ELD)
• Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding load status, delays, and delivery confirmations
• Uphold all DOT safety standards and company operating procedures on every run

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
• Minimum age requirement met per FMCSA interstate commerce standards
• Clean MVR and a satisfactory safety record
• Experience operating a tractor-trailer in OTR or long-haul environments preferred
• Ability to manage the business responsibilities that come with independent contractor status
• Strong commitment to on-time delivery, cargo security, and professional conduct
