About the Role

CRST’s Specialized Solutions team is seeking experienced CDL‑A drivers who want to operate as independent contractors under a lease‑purchase arrangement. In this position you will haul dry‑van freight across the United States while managing your own schedule and home time.

What You'll Do

• Operate a dry‑van tractor‑trailer safely and efficiently on over‑the‑road routes.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, complete required paperwork, and maintain accurate logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Plan routes, monitor fuel consumption, and communicate delivery status to dispatch and customers.
• Secure and protect cargo, ensuring it arrives undamaged and on time.
• Handle basic vehicle maintenance, report mechanical issues, and coordinate service appointments.

What We're Looking For

• Valid CDL‑A license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 12 months of verifiable over‑the‑road dry‑van experience.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and meet all federal medical qualifications.
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and professional conduct.
• Willingness to work as an independent contractor and manage a lease‑purchase agreement for your equipment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to adapt to changing freight demands.
