HKS is hiring a full-time Job Captain – Sports to join our award-winning sports practice in Dallas, Texas. If you thrive on bringing complex sporting venues and entertainment destinations to life, this on-site role puts you at the center of the action.
About the Role
As a Job Captain on the HKS Sports team, you will help guide architectural projects from concept through delivery, applying seasoned judgment and a deep command of design fundamentals. You will tackle technical challenges with creativity and resourcefulness, anticipating what each phase of a project demands and helping the team stay ahead of it. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Dallas, Texas.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply independent judgment when assessing, choosing, and implementing established architectural methods and techniques.
- Resolve design and documentation problems as they arise, using originality and inventive thinking.
- Draw on broad knowledge of architectural principles, practices, and procedures to carry assignments through to completion.
- Anticipate project needs and contribute meaningfully to project goals and team coordination.
- Support the production of clear, accurate construction documents for sports and entertainment projects.
Qualifications
- A solid working understanding of architectural principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proven ability to exercise independent judgment in selecting and applying standard techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills paired with creativity and ingenuity.
- Capacity to anticipate expectations and contribute to overall project objectives.
- Interest in or experience with sports, entertainment, or large-scale venue architecture is a plus.
