Energy Credits Senior Manager – TCIA

Cherry Bekaert seeks an experienced Energy Credits Senior Manager to lead our Tax Credits and Incentives Advisory practice in Dunbarton, Aiken County. In this full-time role, you will drive strategic consulting initiatives for tax equity investment clients while building and mentoring a high-performing team of credits and incentives specialists.

About the Role

As Senior Manager in our TCIA Practice, you'll leverage deep expertise in accounting and tax strategy to guide clients through complex energy incentive structures and tax equity investments. You'll be instrumental in growing our energy credits consulting capability while establishing yourself as a trusted advisor on Inflation Reduction Act compliance and strategy.

What You'll Do

• Lead client engagements on tax equity investment structures and energy credit strategies, particularly under the Inflation Reduction Act
• Build and mentor a team of tax professionals focused on credits and incentives, fostering technical excellence and client service
• Develop business development initiatives within the energy credits and incentives market
• Manage complex tax credit analyses, feasibility studies, and compliance advisory services
• Collaborate with clients to structure transactions that maximize legitimate tax incentive benefits
• Stay current on evolving federal and state energy credit policies and their application to client situations

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in tax strategy, accounting, or tax equity investing
• Demonstrated expertise in Inflation Reduction Act energy credits or similar advanced tax incentive programs
• Established track record leading and developing tax or consulting teams
• Strong client management and relationship-building capabilities
• CPA or equivalent professional credential preferred
• Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to diverse client audiences
