Working Student | Accounting & Finance (m/f/d)

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a fast-growing clean energy technology firm based in Munich. They're building software solutions that support the renewable energy transition, and they need a motivated Working Student to join their Finance team.

This is a genuine hands-on role where you'll take ownership of key accounting processes, work directly with experienced finance professionals, and gain practical experience across German and international accounting standards. The position offers flexible hours around your studies (minimum 15 hours per week), hybrid work with one day per week in their central Munich office, and the potential to transition into a permanent role after graduation.

Responsibilities

• Lead portions of Accounts Payable processing for German and US entities, verifying invoices for compliance with HGB and US-GAAP standards, applying correct accounts and cost centers, and preparing payments for approval
• Support monthly closing activities by coordinating with internal stakeholders and tax advisors, ensuring accurate expense recording, complete documentation, and proper reconciliation
• Assist with monthly financial reporting, including cost tracking and budget monitoring
• Create and maintain documentation of finance processes for use by auditors, tax advisors, and team members
• Contribute to expense management optimization and process improvements within the finance function
• Support Accounts Receivable activities including order processing, invoicing, and revenue recognition as needed

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled student in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Hands-on approach with ability to identify tasks, take ownership, and deliver reliable results
• Comfortable working with financial data and spreadsheets
• Strong communication skills with ability to convey information clearly to internal and external stakeholders
• Genuine interest in practical accounting work with basic understanding of accounting principles (HGB, US-GAAP)
• Interest in tax, cost, and budget reporting
• Fluent English (required) and German at B2 level or higher (required)
• Prior exposure to DATEV, QuickBooks, or Spendesk is advantageous but not mandatory
• Available for at least 15 hours per week with flexibility to attend the Munich office once weekly
