Maine Windows and Doors, LLC is hiring a Full‑Time Window and Door Subcontractor Installer to work in Portland, Cumberland County, where you’ll help residential and commercial clients achieve energy‑efficient, well‑fitted openings.

About the Role

As part of our installation team, you will travel to job sites across the region, preparing openings and fitting products that meet both performance standards and customer expectations. This position offers steady work with a focus on craftsmanship and reliable service.

What You'll Do

• Measure and inspect window and door openings to verify dimensions and readiness for installation
• Remove existing units, dispose of debris, and prepare substrates for new products
• Set, level, and secure windows and doors using appropriate fasteners and shims
• Apply sealants, flashing, and insulation to ensure weather‑tight, energy‑efficient assemblies
• Operate hand and power tools such as drills, saws, and levels safely and efficiently
• Conduct final checks for proper operation, alignment, and finish before leaving the site
• Communicate progress and any issues to project managers and homeowners as needed
• Maintain a clean work area, follow safety protocols, and keep tools organized

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience installing windows and doors in residential or commercial settings
• Familiarity with a variety of product types, including vinyl, wood, fiberglass, and aluminum
• Ability to read work orders, schematics, and basic construction drawings
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality finishes
• Physical stamina to lift heavy units, work on ladders, and spend extended periods on your feet
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites throughout Cumberland County
• Basic knowledge of building codes and energy‑efficiency standards relevant to openings
• Good communication skills and a courteous, professional demeanor with clients
• Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to evolving installation practices
