About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential AI consultancy based in Cologne. We're seeking a motivated working student to join their Product Engineering team, contributing to modern data products built on cloud technology and API-driven frontends.

This is an excellent opportunity for a current student to gain hands-on experience with production data systems while working alongside experienced engineers in a growing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Implement SQL-based data structures for cloud-native applications
  • Plan and build data pipelines including data quality validation
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code for underlying system components
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to deliver scalable data solutions

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience in data engineering using Python and SQL ELT approaches
  • Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts and design patterns
  • Ability to create Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD) and Business Process Model Notation (BPMN)
  • Clear communication skills to present ideas and technical plans to the team
  • Proficiency in both German and English for data interpretation and team collaboration
  • Currently enrolled as a student with flexible availability
  • Willingness to work on-site in Cologne at least 2 days per week
  • Nice to have: Experience with data quality frameworks such as DBT
