Vice President Client Analytics (Mensch)

Responsibilities

We are representing a leading media and marketing analytics organization in Germany seeking a Vice President of Client Analytics to take full ownership of analytics services across multiple locations including Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, and Munich.

In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for:

• Leadership & Organizational Development: Lead and develop teams and senior managers while taking responsibility for talent planning, succession management, and building clear structures and standards for an efficient, scalable organization. Foster a culture of collaboration, appreciation, inclusion, and entrepreneurial responsibility.
• Service Portfolio & Capability Development: Evolve Data Science, Business Analytics/Modelling, Campaign Analytics, and Video Measurement into a cohesive client analytics portfolio with clear service promises, target audiences, interfaces, and a shared roadmap. Manage the entire service lifecycle from pilot through standardization, rollout, and enhancement, making complex analytics accessible through clear documentation, storylines, and intuitive self-service or web-app solutions.
• Delivery, Quality & Impact: Ensure technical quality and reliable delivery across all analytics functions. Establish transparent goals, priorities, capacity planning, and feedback loops. Develop appropriate governance frameworks for service quality, utilization, efficiency, automation levels, and reusability while proactively addressing cross-functional conflicts and systemic obstacles.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Create an integrated offering in collaboration with Analytics Consulting, Data Strategy, Data & Tech Consulting, and agency and client teams. Serve as the central technical escalation and sparring partner for Client Analytics and represent the function in internal committees and leadership forums.
• Commercial & Business Responsibility: Own revenue targets, profitability, and resource allocation. Develop sound business cases for new and evolving services with transparent investment plans, dependencies, and economic assumptions. Support new business and growth through solid service concepts, realistic effort estimates, and technical expertise.
• Technology, Data & Innovation: Set the technical and methodological direction for analytical methods, statistical modeling, reporting, visualization, and other outputs. Drive continuous improvement of deployed approaches. Strategically leverage automation, AI, and appropriate technologies to enhance quality, speed, accessibility, and scalability while ensuring methodological transparency and reliability.

What We're Looking For

• Leadership Experience: Multiple years of experience, ideally at least five years, leading other leaders and building and scaling teams and organizational structures.
• Industry Experience: Extensive experience in Marketing Analytics, Media, or analytical services, with several years in senior management positions.
• Services Leadership: Demonstrated experience in developing, standardizing, automating, and scaling data or analytics-based services.
• Technical Expertise: Broad understanding of Business Analytics, statistical modeling, Data Science, Campaign Analytics, reporting, and measurement methodologies.
• Technology Proficiency: Ability to evaluate and make informed decisions regarding SQL, Python or R, Power BI, web-based outputs, and modern data and analytics architectures.
• Commercial Acumen: Experience with P&L or budget responsibility, business cases, resource decisions, and economic trade-offs.
• Stakeholder Competence: Ability to provide direction across functions, agencies, client teams, and international structures while making complex analytical topics understandable to diverse audiences.
• Personal Attributes: Strategic thinking, strong leadership skills, pragmatic approach, and excellent communication abilities.
