About This Opportunity

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential faith-based nonprofit organization seeking volunteers to join various governance and oversight bodies. This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity for individuals passionate about organizational stewardship, policy development, and community service.

We are currently accepting general interest applications for multiple volunteer committees, commissions, and boards. Positions vary in scope, time commitment, and expertise required. Most appointments run for two-year terms and may be renewed up to three times.

Responsibilities

Depending on the specific body you join, responsibilities may include:

• Participating in regular meetings (typically four to six annually, with some requiring in-person attendance)
• Reviewing financial statements, audit reports, and organizational policies
• Recruiting and recommending candidates for various appointed positions
• Overseeing credentialing processes and professional standards
• Developing study materials and facilitating organizational reflection on social issues
• Planning major events and ensuring procedural fairness in elections
• Managing investment portfolios and retirement plans
• Creating transparency policies and handling appeals processes
• Completing substantive work between scheduled meetings

What We're Looking For

• Strong commitment to the mission and values of faith-based community organizations
• Availability for significant time commitments (varies by committee; some require monthly or bimonthly engagement)
• Relevant professional expertise (finance, governance, human resources, event planning, legal, investment management, or ministry-related fields) depending on the committee
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and neutrality where required
• Willingness to travel for in-person meetings (typically two or more per year for most committees)
• Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
• Location: United States (remote participation available for most committees)
