About This Opportunity

We are representing a dynamic PR consultancy in Hamburg that specializes in working with startups, growth-stage companies, and venture capital firms. Our client helps founders develop communication strategies and execute effective PR campaigns across key sectors including food & beverage, sustainability, consumer goods, tech, finance, fashion, beauty, health, and interior design.

This 12-month traineeship beginning January 1, 2027, is designed to develop your skills across multiple PR disciplines and serve as a pathway to a junior consultant position with our client.

Responsibilities

Throughout this comprehensive traineeship, you will build expertise in three core areas:

Account Management

• Support strategy development for client campaigns
• Assist with KPI reporting and budget planning
• Participate in campaign planning and client communication

Corporate Communications

• Draft press releases, guest articles, and statements
• Support media relations and press appointments
• Assist with LinkedIn content and thought leadership initiatives
• Monitor media coverage and identify relevant trends
• Help organize speaking engagements and podcast formats
• Participate in media training sessions and interview preparation

Lifestyle Communications

• Create product mailings and manage sample distribution
• Build relationships with media contacts
• Support influencer marketing initiatives
• Monitor trends and manage social media channels
• Attend networking events

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field
• Native-level German and very strong English skills (written and spoken)
• Enthusiasm for working closely with founders, investors, journalists, and team members
• Interest in socio-political topics, current trends, and the startup ecosystem
• Strong organizational skills and sense of responsibility
• Team player who can also work independently and goal-oriented
• Startup mentality with enthusiasm for new challenges
• Intuition for developing communication opportunities and creative storytelling
• Proficiency with MS Office and iOS applications
