Timberland: Director, Retail Marketing

VFC, home to the Timberland brand, is hiring a Director of Retail Marketing to lead strategy and growth at our New York Showroom. This full-time leadership position offers the opportunity to shape the customer experience and drive sales performance at a key retail location for Timberland.

Position Summary

The Director of Retail Marketing at our New York Showroom plays a pivotal role in developing and executing retail-focused marketing campaigns that drive foot traffic, enhance brand visibility, and boost sales growth. You'll oversee the strategic direction of all showroom marketing activities, from event planning and promotions to digital customer engagement and in-store merchandising. This leadership role reports directly to senior management and collaborates closely with regional and national teams to align local initiatives with broader brand objectives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive retail marketing strategies specific to the New York Showroom location
• Plan and execute promotional campaigns, seasonal events, and customer engagement initiatives that drive store traffic
• Manage marketing budgets and track performance metrics, including foot traffic, conversion rates, and sales impact
• Lead and mentor retail marketing team members, setting clear objectives and fostering high performance
• Coordinate with merchandising and sales teams to ensure marketing aligns with product displays and inventory strategies
• Analyze customer data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and optimize campaign effectiveness
• Oversee digital marketing efforts, including email campaigns, social media engagement, and in-store digital experiences
• Build and maintain relationships with local media, community organizations, and promotional partners

Requirements

• 7+ years of retail marketing or related marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
• Proven track record developing and executing successful marketing campaigns that drive measurable sales results
• Strong strategic planning and analytical skills, with proficiency in data-driven decision making
• Excellent leadership capabilities and experience managing cross-functional teams
• Comprehensive understanding of retail operations, consumer behavior, and market dynamics
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Proficiency with marketing analytics tools and Microsoft Office suite
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred
