Salt Lake County Parks & Recreation is hiring a part-time Groundsworker for temporary maintenance work at Riverbend Golf Course in Riverton. This outdoor role is perfect for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and take pride in maintaining community recreation spaces.
About the Role
Working as grounds maintenance staff at Riverbend, you'll handle the seasonal and ongoing upkeep that keeps our Riverton golf course in excellent condition. This position offers variety and the satisfaction of contributing to a facility enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year.
What You'll Do
- Maintain golf course grounds through regular mowing, watering, and landscape care
- Perform snow removal and ice management during winter months
- Prune trees and shrubs to preserve course beauty and safety standards
- Remove debris and perform general cleanup operations
- Repair, maintain, and paint fencing and directional signage
- Clean and maintain restroom facilities and related structures
- Dig, grade, and complete other landscaping work as assigned
- Operate hand tools and basic power equipment safely and effectively

- Capacity to perform physical outdoor work in all seasons and weather conditions
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools
- Reliable transportation to our Riverton location
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow safety procedures
