About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential telehealth organization seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) to provide virtual outpatient nutrition counseling with a focus on women's health, pregnancy, and gestational diabetes. This is a PRN (as-needed) role requiring a minimum of 15 hours of weekly availability, with opportunities to expand hours based on your preferences and patient demand.

Our client takes an integrative and functional nutrition approach to care, focusing on root-cause resolution and sustainable lifestyle change. Through their fully virtual model, you'll deliver personalized medical nutrition therapy to women navigating pregnancy, gestational diabetes (GDM), and hormone-related conditions—without the administrative burden of running your own practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide telehealth medical nutrition therapy using functional and integrative approaches, with primary focus on pregnancy and gestational diabetes
• Assess nutritional health with attention to prenatal needs, blood sugar regulation, and hormone-related conditions
• Monitor and review daily blood glucose logs for GDM patients, providing timely feedback and adjustments
• Educate patients on proper glucose meter use and blood sugar monitoring techniques
• Develop and modify individualized nutrition care plans focused on glycemic control during pregnancy
• Coordinate care and communicate with referring physicians and healthcare providers
• Document all appointments with strong attention to detail in the practice's platform
• Respond to patient communications in a timely and supportive manner
• Manage a consistent patient caseload ensuring continuity of care and optimal outcomes
• Maintain minimum 15 hours weekly availability with opportunity to grow into higher-hour or full-time schedule
• Stay current with emerging research in women's health, prenatal nutrition, and diabetes care

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Current RD/RDN registration with CDR
• Minimum 2 years of experience in outpatient or clinical care
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania (PA license and insurance credentialing required before start; this process may take 3–6 months)
• Experience or strong interest in prenatal nutrition, GDM, or hormone-related conditions
• Passionate about women's health, pregnancy, and gestational diabetes
• Integrative and functional nutrition approach to care
• Minimum 15 hours of weekly availability
• Open to insurance credentialing (fully managed and covered by the organization)
• No active private practice or independent nutrition counseling business to avoid conflicts of interest

Strongly Preferred:

• CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist)
• IFNA Certified (IFNCP credential a plus); candidates actively enrolled in IFNA training welcome
• Prior experience supporting pregnant patients or managing gestational diabetes
• Availability for evening appointments to meet patient demand

Pay

This position is located in Panama with telehealth flexibility. The role is PRN/as-needed with minimum 15 hours weekly availability. Compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
