Técnico de Mantenimiento de Transmisión (Temporal)

Statkraft is hiring a Transmission Maintenance Technician (temporary, full-time) to support our power distribution operations in Cajatambo, Lima, Peru. This hands-on technical role is essential to keeping transmission infrastructure safe, functional, and delivering reliable energy to the communities we serve.

Role Overview

Join Statkraft's maintenance team as a Transmission Maintenance Technician in Cajatambo, where you'll take responsibility for the upkeep and repair of critical transmission systems. This temporary full-time position combines practical fieldwork with technical problem-solving, offering direct involvement in the operations that support Peru's power supply. You'll work as part of a dedicated team committed to safety, reliability, and excellence in service delivery.

Core Duties

• Conduct routine maintenance inspections of transmission lines, equipment, and supporting infrastructure
• Diagnose equipment failures and execute repairs to restore service as quickly as possible
• Perform equipment testing and troubleshooting using specialized tools and diagnostic procedures
• Record maintenance activities, findings, and completion details in work logs and systems
• Coordinate with team members to schedule preventive maintenance and respond to emergencies
• Ensure all work meets regulatory standards and Statkraft's safety protocols

Requirements

• Technical certification or formal training in electrical systems, power maintenance, or related discipline
• Proven hands-on experience maintaining or repairing transmission or power distribution equipment
• Solid understanding of electrical safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures
• Ability to interpret technical schematics, manuals, and equipment specifications
• Competence with mechanical and hand tools used in transmission work
• Reliable transportation to and from the Cajatambo site
• Spanish language fluency; additional technical English ability is an asset
• Physical capability to work safely at heights and in outdoor environmental conditions
