EY is hiring a Technology Consulting Manager specializing in Oil and Gas Production Accounting to join our team in Glendale, Denver. In this full-time position, you'll lead digital transformation initiatives for energy sector clients, modernizing their production accounting processes and systems.

About the Role

As a Production Accounting Manager within our Technology Consulting practice, you'll drive sector transformation for oil and gas organizations. This role sits at the intersection of technology strategy and operational accounting, where you'll help clients redesign their production accounting functions to leverage modern systems, automation, and best practices.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead consulting engagements with oil and gas clients to assess production accounting capabilities and identify technology modernization opportunities
• Design and implement accounting system solutions tailored to upstream, midstream, or downstream production operations
• Guide clients through process optimization, data migration, and system integration projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional consulting teams including technology architects, business analysts, and change management specialists
• Provide subject matter expertise on production accounting workflows, revenue recognition, and regulatory compliance in the energy sector
• Mentor junior consultants and support proposal development for new client opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• 5+ years of professional experience in accounting, internal audit, or related finance function
• Experience in oil and gas production accounting or energy sector operations
• Demonstrated success in consulting, technology implementation, or business process improvement roles
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent analytical, communication, and project management capabilities
• Ability to build client relationships and work effectively in collaborative team environments
