Technical Product Lead – AI Neobank App

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech client building an AI-powered financial services platform across payments, remittance, insurance, wealth management, and trading. This is a high-impact role for a Technical Product Lead who will own a complete product vertical—from strategy and technical architecture through delivery and launch.

This is a remote position based in Germany, working with a globally distributed team across multiple time zones. Strong English communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Own a product vertical end-to-end: strategy, success metrics, roadmap, prioritization, and delivery
• Shape technical design alongside engineering teams, covering APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability
• Drive critical trade-offs balancing correctness, velocity, cost, reliability, regulatory compliance, and user experience
• Embed regulatory requirements into product design, including KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy controls, and licensing obligations
• Apply AI and LLMs strategically where they deliver measurable improvements, with appropriate evaluation frameworks, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling
• Navigate dependencies including regulatory approvals, financial infrastructure partners, and third-party integrations
• Align cross-functional stakeholders—Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance—around clear decisions and launch criteria

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years in product management with demonstrated ownership of complex technical products from conception through production launch
• Strong technical foundation: system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems
• Proven ability to work closely with engineers—reviewing, challenging, and contributing meaningfully to technical design discussions
• Domain experience in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or another regulated, high-stakes financial product area
• Excellent product judgment with a track record of making sound trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs or AI products, including establishing evaluation methods, ensuring reliability, and knowing when deterministic systems are the right choice

Nice to Have:

• Engineering background or highly technical product experience
• Zero-to-one fintech or consumer product launches
• Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM-powered features
