Apparel – Sourcing Manager, Men’s Leather Outerwear (EUR)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential direct-to-consumer retail organization seeking a Sourcing Manager for Men's Leather Outerwear to build and own a new sourcing operation across the UK and Europe. This is a rare opportunity to establish vendor partnerships from the ground up in a high-impact category while driving cost, quality, and lead-time excellence.

The ideal candidate will bring deep manufacturing knowledge in men's leather outerwear, strong vendor relationships (or the ability to cultivate them quickly), and the operational rigor to scale new supply chains that meet demanding standards.

Responsibilities

• Scout and identify vendor partners across the UK and Europe capable of manufacturing high-quality men's leather outerwear with fast production lead times
• Pitch to and onboard new vendor partners at speed, establishing clear criteria for initial test periods and ensuring scalability for successful partnerships
• Drive operational excellence with existing supplier relationships while expanding a redundant supplier base to improve product costs, quality, and commercial terms
• Manage capacity at supplier and style levels to support company growth and scale
• Source materials quickly and effectively to improve product cost, quality, and speed; negotiate with suppliers throughout the supply chain from Tier 1 to Tier 2 and Tier 3 partners as needed
• Apply open costing expertise to build clear costing negotiation strategies; construct validated cost structures and templates independent of vendor data alone
• Act as an ambassador in all partner interactions, building and deepening relationships for continuous improvement
• Drive higher hit-rate product launches through excellence and identify bottlenecks to accelerate development timelines
• Maintain strategic commercial understanding of the sourcing landscape and trade benefits to improve product costs and speed to market for North American and European destinations
• Lead at both strategic and tactical levels across diverse stakeholders from multiple functions and nationalities; redefine processes and SOPs for continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of sourcing and merchandising experience in men's apparel categories with high-end national brands in the United States and Europe, specifically in men's leather outerwear
• Consumer-focused and ambitious individual who provides strategic leadership and acts as a role model with self-assurance, pride, and passion
• Self-motivated professional with proven ability as a self-starter and quick independent learner who adapts swiftly to new challenges
• Exceptional attention to detail with a data-driven approach to decision-making and problem-solving
• Strong analytical mindset focused on execution, process improvement, and brand enhancement
• Continuous learner with a proactive attitude, open to new perspectives and adaptable to changing circumstances
• Proven track record in supply chain management or operations with a well-rounded understanding of the retail landscape
• Excellent interpersonal skills fostering collaboration across teams; skilled in written and verbal communication and presentation
• Resilient under pressure and relentless in driving broader impact by being bold and challenging the status quo

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: £100,000–£135,000 GBP base salary, reflective of experience level and location. Bonus and equity may also be provided for eligible roles.
