Technical Account Manager B2B M2M-Mobilfunk (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential telecommunications organization based in Cologne seeking a Technical Account Manager to support B2B clients with M2M mobile connectivity solutions. This role focuses on managing complex technical projects in critical infrastructure communications, including Smart Grid and Smart Metering applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive technical consultation and support to business customers for M2M communication solutions in critical infrastructure environments
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact, managing customer projects from presales consultation through technical onboarding, piloting, stable deployment, and expansion
• Support sales teams during presales activities through technical advisory, solution design, and customer presentations
• Address technical inquiries from customers and conduct structured error analysis and sustainable problem resolution during testing and operational phases
• Collaborate closely with sales, customer service, product management, and technical departments
• Channel customer requirements systematically into product and service development initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Strong knowledge of end-to-end IT and mobile technologies for machine-to-machine (M2M) communication
• Experience specifically in Smart Grid and Smart Metering sectors
• Proven background consulting on complex telecommunications solutions in B2B environments
• Excellent understanding of modern mobile network technologies and secure IT communication pathways
• Experience with IP management and secure connectivity solutions, including fiber-based networks, APN structures, and API gateways
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style with high level of initiative
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Solid project management experience working within project-oriented structures
• Very good German language skills and good English proficiency, both written and spoken
• Completed degree or professional qualification in electrical engineering, telecommunications, information technology, or comparable field
• Several years of relevant professional experience
