Talent Intelligence Associate (CDI)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential strategic intelligence firm based in Paris that is building a brand-new Talent Intelligence practice from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to join at the founding stage of a practice backed by an established research platform and a network of leading PE funds, M&A advisors, and corporate clients.

As a Talent Intelligence Associate, you will work directly alongside the Head of Talent Intelligence, taking on real responsibility from day one. You will manage executive search mandates for senior advisor, board member, and C-level roles, engaging directly with PE partners and fund MDs while building the infrastructure and methodology that will define this practice long-term.

Responsibilities

• Join mandate kick-offs with PE partners and fund leadership to translate client briefs into structured search strategies, defining ideal candidate profiles and target universes
• Own the research backbone of each mandate by building prioritized target landscapes and translating them into actionable sourcing briefs for internal research teams
• Screen and qualify candidates against mandate criteria, assessing background, seniority, sector fit, and availability to present curated shortlists with clear rationale
• Manage stakeholder discussions with PE partners and fund MDs, preparing progress updates, presenting candidate slates, and facilitating feedback conversations
• Contribute to practice-building efforts including methodology design, process documentation, and development of the people intelligence data layer

What We're Looking For

• 2–4 years of experience in executive search, talent intelligence, or advisory sourcing
• Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with senior professionals and build rapport with executives and board-level candidates
• Experience running searches or research mandates end-to-end, from profile definition through candidate assessment and presentation
• Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to map markets, build target universes, and synthesize information into actionable outputs
• Structured and rigorous approach with the ability to manage multiple mandates simultaneously without losing attention to detail
• Comfort operating in early-stage environments with limited playbook and contributing to building processes
• Fluent in English and French; additional European languages a strong plus
• Passion for technology, innovation, and investment
• Based in or willing to relocate to Paris
