System Engineer – Platform Integration

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential semiconductor organization seeking a System Engineer – Platform Integration to lead server bring-up initiatives for AI-powered computing environments. This role focuses on integrating advanced secure processing solutions into high-performance platforms serving global enterprise customers.

We are looking for candidates with deep Linux kernel expertise and proven experience with low-level communication protocols to build reliable server management solutions that meet the demanding requirements of modern data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Implement firmware features enabling communication with peripherals via SPI, I2C, SGPIO, LTPI, PCIe, and related protocols according to chipset specifications
• Provide technical guidance to customers on platform integration challenges, offering strategic and tactical support for assigned accounts
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across diverse customer environments using innovative problem-solving approaches
• Ensure security compliance including secure boot mechanisms and platform root of trust implementations
• Integrate secure AI processing solutions into customer platforms supporting NVIDIA, Intel, and AMD-based systems
• Develop and maintain BMC software for system monitoring, event logging, web interfaces, and essential platform functionalities

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in firmware engineering with specialization in embedded systems and platform integration
• Proficiency in C, C++, assembly language, shell scripting, and Python for firmware development
• Deep understanding of Linux operating system internals, including kernel architecture, applications, and IPC
• Strong expertise in low-level protocols: I2C, I3C, GPIO, USB, LTPI, SGPIO, UART, MCTP, eSPI, SSIF
• Demonstrated capability in BMC porting with ability to independently adapt solutions to custom hardware
• Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and ARM-based architectures
• Comprehensive knowledge of firmware architecture, including bare-metal programming and security implementations

Preferred Skills:

• Extensive experience in end-to-end server bring-up and architectural development of high-performance AI server platforms
• Experience with OpenBMC stack customization and integration across various platforms
