System Engineer (all genders) – Microsoft Server & Azure

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential IT services organization in Germany that delivers comprehensive Microsoft Server and Azure infrastructure solutions to mid-market clients. Our talent team is searching for a System Engineer to join a specialized four-person server team in Ratingen, Nordrhein-Westfalen. This position offers the opportunity to work on modern cloud and hybrid infrastructure projects while maintaining work-life balance through flexible remote arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement modern server and cloud infrastructures based on Microsoft and Azure technologies that meet evolving client requirements
• Plan and execute migration projects across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments with high quality and service standards
• Ensure stable, secure, and high-performance operation of Microsoft Server and infrastructure platforms throughout their entire lifecycle
• Maintain high availability and operational reliability through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and continuous optimization of existing environments
• Resolve technical challenges in infrastructure and server environments quickly and sustainably to minimize downtime and operational risks
• Manage and implement customer projects from technical concept through realization to complete documentation
• Contribute to organizational success through successful infrastructure project delivery and high customer satisfaction

What We're Looking For

• Solid professional experience administering Microsoft Server infrastructures in on-premises and hybrid environments
• Knowledge of cloud technologies, ideally Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
• Analytical approach to troubleshooting server and infrastructure issues with focus on sustainable solutions
• Team player who identifies with server and cloud technologies and documents work in a structured manner
• Willingness to attend customer appointments in the region
• IT training/education and ideally Microsoft Server or Azure certifications
• Fluent German communication skills for team collaboration and customer interaction
• Current residence in Nordrhein-Westfalen with authorization to work in Germany

Pay

Compensation details will be discussed during the screening process and are competitive for the German IT services market. The client offers 30 days vacation, flexible working hours, up to 25 days working from the EU, JobRad bicycle leasing, occupational pension scheme, and ongoing training opportunities including certifications. After a successful onboarding period of up to 6 months, up to 3 days per week remote work is possible.
