Summer Day Camp Associate Teacher – varied hours

Park Hill School District is hiring a Summer Day Camp Associate Teacher in Kansas City, Jackson County, to help create a fun, enriching, and developmentally supportive summer experience for school-age children.

About the Role

As a Summer Day Camp Associate Teacher with Park Hill School District, you will work alongside the Master Teacher to deliver an age-appropriate learning and recreation environment within our School Age Child Care program. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with hours that shift according to the changing needs of the camp, and you will report directly to the Site Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Master Teacher in planning and carrying out developmentally appropriate activities for campers.
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and engaging atmosphere throughout the day camp.
• Support the daily routines, supervision, and care of school-age children.
• Encourage positive social interaction, learning, and play among participants.
• Take ownership of your assigned duties and contribute to the overall success of the program.
• Adapt to a flexible schedule based on the operational needs of the camp.
