Head Women’s Flag Football Coach

Join the University of Maryland Eastern Shore as our new Head Women's Flag Football Coach. This full-time position is based at our campus and offers a unique opportunity to lead and inspire our women's flag football team.

The Opportunity

As the Head Women's Flag Football Coach, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of a competitive women's flag football program. This includes coaching practices, games, and tournaments, while fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs to enhance players' skills and strategies.
• Organize and conduct regular practice sessions, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines.
• Recruit and retain talented student-athletes through outreach and evaluation processes.
• Maintain player records, including statistics, academic progress, and eligibility.
• Coordinate with athletic trainers and medical staff to ensure players’ health and well-being.
• Plan and manage travel arrangements for away games and tournaments.
• Engage with the university community to promote the sport and build support for the team.

Who We're Looking For

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field.
• Experience coaching women's flag football at the collegiate level is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans for athletic programs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with athletes, parents, and university officials.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations governing intercollegiate athletics.
• A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team and broader university community.
