Storekeeper

The County of Riverside Fire Department is hiring a full-time Storekeeper in Perris to manage essential supplies, materials, and equipment that support our emergency response mission.

What This Role Involves

As Storekeeper, you'll oversee the receipt, secure storage, and controlled issuance of supplies and equipment for the Fire Department. Operating under general supervision, you'll maintain inventory records, organize storage facilities, and ensure firefighters have immediate access to the resources they depend on in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and log incoming supplies, materials, and equipment
• Maintain organized, accessible storage areas and warehouse facilities
• Issue equipment and materials to authorized personnel upon request
• Track inventory levels and identify restocking needs
• Perform routine maintenance and condition checks on stored equipment
• Keep accurate records of all inventory transactions
• Ensure storage areas comply with safety and department standards

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or materials handling
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities
• Capability to lift and move materials safely
• Attention to detail in documentation and tracking
• Ability to work independently under general supervision
• Knowledge of inventory or warehouse systems preferred
