Beaufort County School District is hiring a full-time certified Mathematics teacher for Beaufort Middle School, a high-needs school in the Beaufort area. About the Role

As a middle school Mathematics educator at Beaufort Middle, you'll design and deliver engaging lessons that help students master core mathematical concepts and develop problem-solving skills. You'll work in a high-needs environment where your expertise can directly improve student outcomes and build confidence in learners who need targeted support.

What You'll Do

• Create and maintain a positive, stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning and student engagement
• Develop clear learning objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate expectations to students in writing and verbally
• Prepare, administer, and evaluate classroom assessments and tests to track student progress and inform instructional decisions
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of middle school learners, including students performing below grade level
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum alignment, instructional strategies, and data-driven improvement efforts
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress to parents and guardians
• Participate in professional development and school initiatives to support the school's mission

What We're Looking For

• Current certification or eligibility for middle school Mathematics instruction in your state
• Strong knowledge of mathematics content and pedagogy appropriate for grades 6–8
• Demonstrated ability to create a supportive learning environment and manage classroom dynamics effectively
• Experience with assessment design and data analysis to guide instruction
• Commitment to working with high-needs student populations and closing achievement gaps
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff and families
