About This Opportunity
We are representing a leading SaaS organization that is at the forefront of AI-powered customer service solutions. Our talent team is searching for a Staff Product Engineer to join their AI engineering group in London.
This is a unique opportunity to work on production AI systems that deliver measurable customer impact. You'll collaborate closely with machine learning scientists and product teams to build robust, scalable systems that power cutting-edge AI products. The team ships rapidly—often moving from prototype to beta in weeks—and takes a highly analytical, product-focused approach to development.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the systems that power flagship AI products, primarily working in a Python ML tech stack with occasional work in Rails
- Translate proof-of-concept code from ML scientists into production-ready, robust, and scalable solutions
- Partner with product teams to shape AI-powered product experiences that serve real customer needs
- Contribute across all phases of software development: ideation, prototyping, implementation, and testing
- Mentor and develop other engineers, playing an active role in hiring and career development
- Establish and uphold high technical standards for performance, reliability, and operational excellence
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience shipping high-quality software products
- Strong software engineering fundamentals—ML experience is not required, as you'll learn on the job
- Demonstrated significant impact in previous roles
- Deep knowledge of at least one high-level programming language (Python, Ruby, JavaScript, or similar)
- BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline
- Strong willingness to advocate for good outcomes and fight for quality
- Bias toward progress over perfection
- Pride in continuous learning and personal development
- Previous experience in data analytics or statistical roles is a bonus

Pay
