Virtual Primary Care Physician

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential telehealth organization seeking a Virtual Primary Care Physician to deliver clinical care through a team-based telehealth model. This is a remote position available throughout the United States, offering the opportunity to provide virtual primary care consultations to an established patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual consultations, clinical diagnosis, and therapeutic medical services via telehealth exclusively to assigned patients
• Work as a key participant or leader within a designated primary care team structure
• Deliver a minimum of 40 clinical hours per week, including 35 hours of direct patient care and 5 hours of administrative duties
• Manage clinical chart reviews, in-basket tasks, and provider cross-coverage responsibilities
• Complete timely and accurate medical records for all patient encounters
• Participate in regular medical staff meetings, quality improvement processes, and patient safety reviews
• Supervise APRNs in compliance with state requirements
• Collaborate on development of workflows, policies, and procedures for virtual primary care delivery
• Meet or exceed quality metrics, clinical competencies, patient satisfaction standards, and connectivity requirements
• Maintain active participation in Medicare and Medicaid programs as an approved participating provider
• Complete annual compliance training and continuing medical education requirements

What We're Looking For

• Education: MD or DO with ABMS Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
• Experience: Board certified for minimum of 2 years; minimum 4 years post-residency experience in primary care setting
• Licensure: Active medical licenses and willingness to obtain/maintain licenses in multiple states as requested; active DEA licensure required
• Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills with high level of empathy
• Leadership capabilities within care team settings
• Ability to interact effectively with patients, nursing staff, colleagues, and senior leadership
• Telehealth experience is a plus
• Candidates with multiple state medical licenses preferred
• Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload) for remote work

This position is eligible for bonus incentives based on achievement of quality and clinical competency goals.
