About This Opportunity

We are representing a leading UK-based fintech organization that is transforming how people interact with their finances. Our client is seeking a Staff Product Designer to join their growing design team and help shape the future of their digital banking platform.

This is a senior individual contributor role where you'll set design vision, lead large-scale projects, and mentor designers across the organization. You'll work on meaningful problems that impact millions of users, partnering closely with cross-functional leaders to drive product strategy and execution.

Location: London or UK Remote | Salary: £110,000 - £125,000 + Equity + Benefits

Responsibilities

  • Set long-term design vision and lead end-to-end design projects across ambiguous problem spaces and wide product areas
  • Navigate tradeoffs and guide strategic decisions with a clear, opinionated perspective
  • Raise the bar for design craft and product excellence, ensuring your work serves as a benchmark for quality and innovation
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to define and execute product strategies, translating them into actionable plans you help build and ship
  • Proactively address systemic challenges, reduce complexity, and create better conditions for teams to deliver impactful work
  • Act as a visible ambassador for design, sharing your work and its impact across the company
  • Mentor and level up designers across the discipline, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and belonging

What We're Looking For

  • Deep expertise in a specific design discipline with strong foundational skills across all areas of product design
  • Proven track record of delivering high-impact design work that drives customer outcomes, influences company metrics, and achieves commercial goals
  • Excellent visual, UI and interaction design skills with the ability to think through complex interaction patterns
  • Curiosity about developing your craft and learning new tools, ways of working, and technology
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, leading teams to deliver in complex, fast-changing environments while maintaining high quality standards
  • Strategic thinking skills to shape product direction across multiple areas and translate organizational goals into clear, actionable plans
  • Natural collaboration abilities and experience working cross-functionally to improve ways of working
  • Role model qualities in resilience, rational decision-making, and effective communication, even in challenging circumstances
  • Passion for growing and shaping design teams through hiring, onboarding, or creating resources that scale impact
  • Pragmatic and proactive approach, always looking for ways to improve design impact while balancing the need to deliver

How We Work With You
