Sr. Business Analyst, AI & Data

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential data and AI consultancy that works with enterprise clients across multiple industries. Our talent team is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst with deep AI and data expertise to join their Latin America–based consulting practice. This is a remote-first role open to candidates across the region.

You will serve as the bridge between complex business challenges and technical AI-driven solutions, leading discovery efforts with executive stakeholders and guiding digital transformation initiatives that deliver measurable ROI.

Responsibilities

• Lead executive and stakeholder discovery sessions through interviews and workshops to uncover root-cause problems, define project vision, scope, and success metrics
• Map current-state and future-state value streams and business processes, identifying bottlenecks and automation opportunities
• Elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for AI/ML and GenAI features
• Capture business rules, decision logic, user journeys, data requirements (sources, quality, latency, privacy), and model behavior specifications
• Define guardrails, human-in-the-loop interactions, and non-functional needs including performance, explainability, and auditability
• Navigate complex organizational structures to build consensus and align solutions to business outcomes
• Support experimentation and rollout activities including proof-of-concepts, pilots, test design, feedback loops, training, and communications
• Partner with architects and developers to ensure designs meet business needs; oversee User Acceptance Testing
• Leverage Generative AI tools to accelerate analysis, documentation, and solution design while validating outputs and synthesizing recommendations
• Establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships with clients
• Coach project team members and contribute to reusable business analysis artifacts

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of experience in business analysis or product development within the data and analytics industry
• 4+ years of experience in a client-facing consulting environment
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate interviews and workshops across multiple domains and organizational levels, translating ambiguous needs into clear requirements and user stories
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with ability to explain complex topics to non-technical stakeholders
• Expertise in Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, and process mapping tools
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI to accelerate business analysis activities in client delivery
• Understanding of adoption and change management approaches and familiarity with industry-standard strategy frameworks
• Comfortable with ambiguity and strong curiosity for understanding the "why" behind requirements
• Proven ability to coach and mentor others
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
