About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential intelligence and advisory organization that is building specialized products for the insurance sector. Our talent team is searching for an experienced specialty insurance professional currently active in the United Kingdom to provide consulting guidance on product development and market strategy.
You will advise our client on complex risk frameworks, customer needs, coverage structures, underwriting considerations, and the distribution landscape within specialty insurance markets.
Responsibilities
- Provide expertise on specialty insurance product opportunities and customer requirements
- Advise on coverage design, policy limits, exclusions and wording
- Guide underwriting approaches, risk selection and pricing considerations
- Share insights on capacity, reinsurance and carrier appetite
- Consult on broker, MGA and specialty-market distribution channels
- Identify claims complexity and common coverage gaps
- Analyze competitive positioning and emerging market opportunities
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of relevant insurance experience
- Currently operating in or closely involved with the United Kingdom insurance market
- Up-to-date knowledge of local customers, regulation and market conditions
- Firsthand experience with insurance product, underwriting, claims, brokerage or distribution decisions
- A valid LinkedIn profile showing relevant professional experience
- Expertise in one or more specialty lines: cyber, directors and officers liability, errors and omissions, marine and aviation, energy and infrastructure, political risk, trade credit, transactional risk, specialty property and casualty, or professional and financial lines
Engagement: Independent consulting contract, remote within the United Kingdom, approximately 2 to 4 paid consulting hours per month with flexible scheduling. This is not a full-time position or a sales role. Advisors provide independent industry guidance and do not bind coverage or provide regulated advice.
