We are representing a confidential insurance technology organization that is developing next-generation products and intelligence offerings for commercial clients. Our talent team is seeking a Parametric Insurance Advisor based in London to provide strategic guidance as these solutions are designed and brought to market.
This is an independent consulting engagement, not a full-time role. You will advise on product development, risk assessment, and market positioning—drawing on your direct parametric insurance experience in the United Kingdom market.
Responsibilities
- Advise on commercial use cases and applications for parametric insurance solutions
- Guide trigger and payout structure design for measurable commercial risks
- Evaluate data quality, independence, and verification approaches
- Assess basis risk and customer suitability considerations
- Provide input on underwriting and pricing methodologies
- Review capacity, reinsurance, and risk transfer strategies
- Advise on policy wording, regulatory compliance, and customer communication
- Evaluate distribution approaches through brokers, MGAs, carriers, and technology platforms
- Share insights on parametric products covering operational, supply-chain, cyber, energy, or other measurable risks
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of relevant insurance experience
- Currently operating in or closely involved with the United Kingdom insurance market
- Direct, firsthand experience with parametric insurance products
- Up-to-date knowledge of local customers, regulation, and market conditions
- Professional background in insurance product development, underwriting, claims, brokerage, or distribution
- A valid LinkedIn profile demonstrating relevant professional experience
- Located in or available to work remotely within the United Kingdom
Engagement Details
This is an independent consulting contract requiring approximately 2 to 4 paid consulting hours per month. Scheduling is flexible to accommodate your availability. This is not a full-time position or a sales role. You will provide independent industry guidance and will not bind coverage or provide regulated advice on behalf of the client.
