Sound Designer – AI & Voice Development Specialist (Course Credit/Community Service Credit Eligible)

Childhood Cancer Society seeks a talented Sound Designer and AI Voice Development Specialist to join our team in Milford, Sussex County. This full-time position offers an opportunity to shape the voice and sonic identity of Adventure Ted, our beloved character, using advanced AI and voice synthesis technologies to create meaningful connections with our community.

About the Role

You'll be at the forefront of innovative character development, leveraging AI-powered voice tools to design, develop, and refine Adventure Ted's vocal personality. This role combines creative audio design with technical expertise in voice synthesis, ensuring a consistent, engaging character presence across all platforms where our community encounters Adventure Ted.

What You'll Do

• Create and maintain Adventure Ted's voice using AI voice synthesis and sound design tools, ensuring character consistency across animations, interactive experiences, and multimedia content
• Partner with our creative, animation, and production teams to develop Adventure Ted's vocal characteristics and emotional expression
• Produce high-quality audio assets for virtual events, animations, and social media campaigns that strengthen our community's connection to Adventure Ted
• Explore and implement emerging AI audio technologies to enhance storytelling and character authenticity
• Manage audio assets, maintain quality standards, and ensure seamless integration across multiple platforms and formats

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience with AI voice synthesis platforms, voice design software, and audio production tools
• Strong creative sensibility combined with technical proficiency in sound design and character voice development
• Portfolio or examples showcasing voice design, character audio, or sound design work
• Ability to collaborate effectively with creative teams and take direction while contributing original ideas
• Understanding of how voice and sound contribute to character development and audience engagement
• Familiarity with multimedia production workflows and various audio formats
