Solutions Architect

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization building enterprise work management infrastructure for highly regulated industries. Our talent team is searching for a Solutions Architect based in Germany to own the technical architecture for complex enterprise deployments serving customers in banking, defense, aerospace, and other compliance-heavy sectors.

This is a pre-sales and post-sales technical role. You will translate rigorous security, compliance, and infrastructure requirements into deployments that actually work—often self-hosted, air-gapped, or running inside sovereign cloud environments. You will partner directly with sales on the largest deals and with engineering when customer requirements push the platform's current capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own technical architecture for enterprise and regulated-industry deployments from discovery through signed statement of work
• Design self-hosted, on-premises, and air-gapped deployments that satisfy customer security reviews and compliance frameworks
• Run technical discovery with infrastructure and compliance teams who will scrutinize every architectural decision
• Define migration paths when customers consolidate multiple legacy tools, including honest assessment of what data cannot transfer
• Work daily with sales on active deals and carry customer requirements back to engineering as scoped, specific requests
• Complete security questionnaires and respond to procurement processes across regulated buyers
• Document deployment procedures that customer engineering teams can execute independently

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Experience designing and defending technical architecture to skeptical enterprise buyers, including examples where customer security or infrastructure teams reshaped your design
• Deep understanding of self-hosted and on-premises deployment: networking, SSO, identity federation, and operational differences when customers run the software
• Ability to read security questionnaires and compliance requirements, then translate them into deployment decisions rather than vague reassurances
• Comfort serving as the technical voice on sales calls, including delivering "no" or "not yet" when appropriate
• Strong technical writing: documentation that customer engineers can follow without your presence in the room

Preferred:

• Pre-sales or post-sales experience in solutions architecture, sales engineering, or technical account management selling to regulated industries
• Hands-on experience with deployments into banking, defense, healthcare, or air-gapped environments
• Contributions to open-source projects or experience maintaining self-hosted software
• Informed opinions on AI agent permissioning and audit trails in enterprise environments
