About This Opportunity
Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential insurtech organization that is seeking a Software Engineer with machine learning expertise to join their claims analytics team in London.
This role sits within a large engineering organization of over 350 professionals working across software development, infrastructure, and operations. You'll be working on machine learning applications that directly impact the claims management process, combining software engineering rigor with data science capabilities to build scalable, production-ready solutions.
Responsibilities
- Leverage machine learning and advanced data analytics to identify risks and opportunities within the claims management platform
- Analyze and interpret complex datasets to support the claims management lifecycle
- Build and maintain production-grade machine learning models with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform data insights into actionable intelligence
- Contribute to the technical roadmap and long-term architecture of ML-powered claims solutions
What We're Looking For
Required Skills and Experience:
- Software engineering mindset: you write clean, maintainable, production-ready code and prioritize scalability and reliability
- Strong quantitative, logical, and analytical skills with the ability to tackle diverse technical challenges
- Advanced Python experience including hands-on work with Pandas, Numpy, PyTorch or TensorFlow, Hugging Face, and generative AI
- Proficiency with relational databases, particularly Postgres
- Solid understanding of machine learning paradigms including classical models, deep learning, computer vision, and generative AI
- Ability to select and apply the right ML techniques to solve real-world problems effectively
- Fluency in English
Nice to Have:
- Experience creating, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets
- Background developing applications using Elixir or Rust
- Experience working in cloud-based environments (AWS preferred)
- International work experience
